Woohoo! I did it! My 2009 Project 365 is complete. I knew when I started that I would complete it. At times I had trouble blogging but never missed a picture. Who knew it could be so challenging to take a picture. I look back with pride at many of my photo choices. I started this project on January 1st, 2009 with a picture of David and I and Jackie (the "poodle" ) and decided that was how I should end it. So without further ado, my final photo.

Happy New Year everyone who took this journey with me. I wish you all a very happy, prosperous, 2010.

As an avid reader I was ecstatic to receive this Sony Reader for Christmas . I have to tell you it is awesome! It doesn't tire my eyes and its so convenient. The battery lasts for about 2 weeks. I even downloaded the cricut pdf files in it! Love, love, love it.

I linked my new carts to my Gypsy and when I was putting them away I realized that I don't really use the original carts anymore. Here they all are and the solutionns carts are standing in front. Couldn't do without any of them.

Christmas day has come and gone. We are sitting here watching the new TV and looking at the few scattered presents left under the lit Christmas tree. I loved the quiet day we had today. Tomorrow brings more company and holiday greetings but today was rejuvenating.

Dec 26th Domino Game and Visitors

This morning we went shopping for the big boxing day sales. Later Gail, Jessy, Sam and I sat down for our traditional Domino game. Jessy won by a long shot. Anyway while we were playing I had a surprise visit.
Marcia (from the message board, CanadianBug) and her mother dropped in for a quick visit. It was wonderful to see them. I did forget to get a picture of them.

We all had a wonderful Christmas. Their was lots of family, friends and laughter and presents. Although we didn't get to spend time with my son and his family we did get to wish them a Merry Christmas. As usual there are so many photos taken it was hard to choose just one. Dec 22nd Olympic Flame Arrives

The Olympic Flame is being carried across Canada for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. The flame is from the original torch that was lit in Greece. It went through Paris early this morning. It was very cold but it's great to capture a bit of history in the making.

I was at the mall today and went by the Santa Display. It had weird animals like foxes laying around, and this groundhog popped in and out of the log. Never saw anything like that in a Santa display before.

Last year we had a ton of snow by now. It was beautiful and created a wonderful holiday spirit. The lack of snow now puts a real damper on the holiday spirit. Where's the snow! I want more snow!

I freaked out today when my camera fell off the counter. When I picked it up the lens wouldn't focus. I took it into the shop and it's toast. It cost as much to get a new lens as it does to get this one fixed. It's a good thing I still have my zoom lens. It will be fun Christmas day, I'll have to take the family picture from another room, LOL!

Molly was running across the road and ran right into the side of a car. She was very, very lucky she didn't break anything. She was bruised up and had a cut on her paw. We are all so thankful she wasn't hurt bad.

Dec 2nd Canadian Holiday Train

Each December, Canadian Pacific's Holiday Train travels to 100's of communities across Canada and the USA to raise food, money, and awareness for local food banks. It is illuminated by hundreds of thousands of festive lights and has wonderful entertainment at each stop.
This year the Holiday was stopping in Ayr (about 20 min. away from us) and I couldn't wait to see it.
It was a rainy night but worth getting wet. I loved it.

I was offered a free night, meals and Christmas show at the Niagara casino. Later today my friend and I made our way to the falls. No pictures were allowed at the show but I loved it.

If I had known sorting a pile of papers was going to lead to 3 days of work I never would have started it. Today I had to pull all these magazines off the shelf so my newly organized papers can go on it (the only shelf high enough). Well that means I have to look through them all and send the ones I don't want to the Goodwill. That's all fine and dandy but I haven't opened these in years so another day was gone while I perused magazines. It was revealing to me that my taste in scrapbooking had changed so much.

After sorting through my Basic Grey paper yesterday I decided to sort all my papers. Well let me tell you, that was some job. It took me most of the day. David finally dragged me away to enjoy at least a bit of this beautiful day outside. Here they are all sorted (whew). It doesn't include Special papers, Disney, Halloween, or Glitter. Bev gave me the large holders and I love them. I'm going to have to get about 10 more. Tomorrow I will have to figure out where to put them as the holders don't fit on the shelves they were on.(Grrr, I hate it when the picture goes in wrong).

I love Basic Grey papers or I used to. I would buy them up and then put them away because they were so pretty. Well today I decided to sort them out and start using them. I had no idea I had that many and I don't even like some of them anymore. From now on I'm using these babies up.

Today is the day to remember all our veterans. I am so thankful to all the brave men and women who faught, and continue to fight, for our freedom. We must all remember that our freedoms came at a very high price. I try to remember this all year but especially today, I give thanks for all the veterans past and present. They are in my prayers.

David called to tell me there was an eagle in the tree at the top of the hill. I took a few pictures of him in the tree and then he took off. Imagine my surprise when he landed and their was another one sitting there.

We don't have that many eagles around here so this was a thrilling sight for me.

Today I went to the Royal Winter Fair. Prince Charles and Camille were at the opening ceremonies and then they walked through the fair. Before they came on a group called the Canadian Cowgirls performed on their horses. They were great. Of course the picture had to be a Royal one since that doesn't happen everyday.

David's cousin and my friend, June, died on Monday. Here funeral was today. June was a wonderful lady and is missed terribly. This is how June wanted us all to deal with her passing. Love you June.

I collect scrapbooking everything and every once in a while I think I should clean some out. Well these scissors are something I haven't used in years. I wonder, does anyone use them anymore? All that being said I just can't let go. Can you believe it. I got my Christmas present today. I wasn't sure about getting a Gypsy but since Provocraft had that special Michaels promo I figured it was worth it. It's my present from David but I had to open it to register it. I think an empty box and the accessories will be the only thing under the tree. LOL!
The good thing is all my Christmas layouts will be finished just waiting for the big event.

We had a fun day at the Simcoe Fair. It's the third largest fair in Ontario. One of our favourite shows is the lumber jacks. I snapped this shot of this poor guy when he fell during the log rolling. Yikes, that must hurt! Oh yes and the water was only 3 degrees. Brrrrrrr.

Sept 30th Potato Harvesting

It's that time of year to dig up all the potatoes and store them for the winter. This is our potatoe digger where they are sorted as they are dug and then put into potatoe bins. They are then sorted from the bins into the storage.

Walnuts are dropping like flies. When you walk or drive in the driveway you have a very good chance of being pounded by one. It's a dangerous time right now :). The squirrels however love them.

Sept 22nd ATG Guns

I bought the red ATG gun and had nothing but trouble with it. When I got tired of the frustration I bought the yellow one with an adapter so I could use 1/4" tape with it also. Then there was a mix up with the tape I ordered. I got one box of gold 1/2"(acid free) and a box of regular 1/4" (not acid free). So I put the regular tape in the red ATG (for cardmaking) and now it works good. Long story short I have two ATG guns.

Sept 20th Fun times at the Binbrook Fair

I love fairs so once again David and I spent a day at the fair; the Binbrook Fair. It's a small fair but I like it.
My POTD is of the owner (L. Watson) giving her Alpacas a treat right from her mouth!

These Alpacas are so cute and gentle.

We also saw the horse pulls and they were great. You can see by the horses stance how much weight they are pulling.

It was a very busy day and I had trouble finding a picture so I once again went to my garden. This is the hosta flower. They are so beautiful.
