Michael Jackson passed away today. I still can't believe it. I was not a huge fan but I loved his "Thriller" album and video. I always felt kind of sorry for him because he never seemed to love himself. I hope his soul has finally found peace.
Farrah Fawcettpassed today also. She lost her battle with cancer. Farrah was a large part of my TV viewing when I was younger. I loved her in Charlie's Angels and was blown away with "The Burning Bed". Of course her most famous photo is the poster of her in the red swimsuit.
My prayers go out to the families of both of these magnificent people.
Happy Birthday, David! He isn't really into the whole Birthday thing. I had to get a picture of what 59 years young looks like; yes I said 59! You look great honey!
I saw this turtle along the side of the road this morning. She was busy digging a hole and then proceeded to settle in to laying her eggs. I wish she wasn't so close to the road but I have learnt not to try to move them.
I saw this pink Ford tractor and fell in love. On the side it says, "its a girl". This was so cute among all the "manly" tractors. The lady who owns this tractor also participates in the tractor pull.
Well we are spending lots of time at the fair grounds for the show this weekend. BEWARE, tractor pictures are the order of the day for the next couple of days, LOL.
The tractors are on their way to the Historic Farm show. These two can't be driven up because it would take forever to get there. The red one was made in 1948 and the white one in 1950.
My cuttlebug broke today! I didn't know whether to faint or cry. I was trying to emboss a Nestabilities and just couldn't get a deep emboss so I thought I'd add the plumber gasket. Well all of a sudden my Cuttlebug sides popped out and it ate the gasket! After carefully extracting the sandwich and removing the gasket I put the sides back on. It is working but now it is curling the paper a lot. I think I still might have to get a new one.
This is a painting I bought at a yard sale. I just love this. The goldfish shine. There is a special finish on this painting but I can't remember what it is.
This is my very first laptop. I had owned MAC's and still love them but when the ibook came out I just had to have it. After all these years it works but I have to take up the cord and the battery is dead. It's so slow but there is no way I can give it away. I still think it's so cool.
Off to the Rodeo! David and I went to the Dodge Rodeo today and had such a great time. I took almost 400 pictures so it was hard choosing just one for today.
This is a 1950 tractor. It's going to be in the Historic Show at the fair grounds next weekend. I think it's cute (the men can't get their head around that :)). I decided I needed to be in a picture again so out came the tripod. It was a lot easier than last time I tried a self portrait. LOL.
