Sept 26th Watermellon Anyone

The watermellon are huge now. I guess they like all the sun we've been having finally.  Mmm, Mmm, Good!

Sept 25th Loading Straw

They were loading straw bales across the road today. This straw is going to a dairy farm 30 minutes away.

Sept. 24th Cricut Design Studio and WIN A GYPSY!

My picture of the day is my Design Studio. I am trying to win a Gypsy (link in sidebar and below) and figured this would tie in nicely.

That’s right, you can win a Cricut Gypsy!

Sept 23rd Feeling Lucky

I was feeling lucky so picked up a couple of scratch tickets. Remind me to disregard those "lucky" feelings when it comes to tickets. LOL

Sept 22nd ATG Guns

I bought the red ATG gun and had nothing but trouble with it. When I got tired of the frustration I bought the yellow one with an adapter so I could use 1/4" tape with it also. Then there was a mix up with the tape I ordered.  I got one box of gold 1/2"(acid free) and a box of regular 1/4" (not acid free). So I put the regular tape in the red ATG (for cardmaking) and now it works good. Long story short I have two ATG guns.

Sept 21st Breakfast of Champions

I eat eggs just about every morning for breakfast. Love them so they deserve a spot in my project.

Sept 20th Fun times at the Binbrook Fair

I love fairs so once again David and I spent a day at  the fair; the Binbrook Fair. It's a small fair but I like it.
My POTD is of the owner (L. Watson) giving her Alpacas a treat right from her mouth!

These Alpacas are so cute and gentle.

We also saw the horse pulls and they were great. You can see by the horses stance how much weight they are pulling.

Sept 19th Another Flower

It was a very busy day and I had trouble finding a picture so I once again went to my garden.  This is the hosta flower. They are so beautiful.

Sept 18th Sedum In Full Bloom

The Sedum is in bloom and is attracting hundreds of various bees. The black bee in this photo has moved right into the wood around the garden. I have never seen them before this year.

Sept. 17th The Old Barn

Our barn is about 130 years old.  It was used in a couple of weddings in the last couple of years and the photos were gorgeous. This has  had maintenance done on it to keep it from falling down.  The old barns are disappearing so fast.

Sept 16th Sewing Machine woes.

I was feeling like "Susy Homemaker" today so I got out my sewing machine to do some mending. I've had  new sewing machines but I always come back to this old faithful. It "usually" sews like a dream but today it gave me nothing but grief. Oh well it still looks good.

Sept 15th - I Got Mail

The mail lady was good to me again.  My order came in and Cottage Cutz also game me some complimentary dies. How nice is that. eh.  I can't wait to play with these.

Sept. 14th YAHOOOO!!! I love my mail lady!

Look what I got in the mail today! I'm going to play with this all afternoon.  Now I'm glad I had the day off :).
(I have no idea why this picture is sideways, it's not on my computer).

Sept 13th London Western Fair

David and I went to the Western Fair today. This year they had a Skyline ride and we took it (took alot of work to get David up there).  It was cool seeing the whole fair from above. Oh, by the way there was no way either of us were going on THAT ride, LOL!

Sept. 12th Annual Corn Roast

The annual neighbourhood and friends corn roast was a great success again.  On the side of the picture you can just see the sparks from the huge bonfire. It was great fun and the corn was awesome.

Sept. 11th Storage!!

I was talking to Karen and she was telling me about the CM photo organizing program. It sounds great but first I have to take all my photos off of Photoshop backup CD's so I bought this portable hard drive. I can't believe it; it holds (drum roll); 272,640 photos!  If I fill this I need my camera taken away from me, :).

Sept. 10th Harvest Time

Here's a small grouping of squash we grow. You know it's fall when the squash is ready. Soon there will be hundreds of them.

Sept 9th Country Time

Today is 09-09-09.  How cool is that.
This is David's clock I made him a few years ago.

Sept 8th Trip to the Dentist

Today I had to go to the dental surgeon and have a tooth extracted. I knew I wasn't going to be looking for a picture so I snapped the dentist instruments (oops pieces of my tooth are on there). The dental assistant gave me a weird look but of course I couldn't explain with a frozen mouth.  I'm finished my liquid dinner and off to bed with a pain pill so wanted to get this posted now.

Sept. 7th Snakes alive!

We went to the Paris Fair today. One of the sites was a demonstration of snakes. This snake is so big. It's called a Yellow Anaconda.
After the show we could hold the snake if we wanted. David took these pictures of me with the snake. The first one is when I was no way going to touch that snake. The second one is of me overcoming my fear and holding that snake. It wasn't so bad but not something I'm in a hurry to do again, LOL.

Sept. 6th Bunnies galore

We went to a friends place today who raises rabbits. There were hundreds of baby rabbits there. They are so cute. It smells but is very quiet, LOL . These two looked like they were kissing.

Sept. 5th Hot Peppers

I spent today enjoying the weather, fighting a toothache and tearing the house apart looking for something I know is here but can't find (Grrr). Finally I went for a walk in the vegetable field and took a picture of this hot pepper plant. Usually they are all red by now and very hot!

Sept. 4th Hawks

I went to watch them bailing straw in our field and saw these two hawks sitting on the bails. I managed to capture the one flying away while the other one still sat there. It's seeing these sights that make me love living in the country.

Sept. 3rd Watching the Sunset

David and I were relaxing at the top of the hill checking out if any wildlife was around. We both were enthralled with this sunset. I have seen much prettier ones but this sunset was a nice ending to a beautiful day.

Sept. 2nd Canadian Snowbirds

The air show was on in Brantford and some of the flight paths go over the farm. The Snowbirds are a Canadian Precision Flying Team. I captured some of them as they passed over us. We actually see alot of their stunts from the top of the hill but they are too far away to take a picture. I love to watch them.

September 1st Picture says it all

This sign says it all about my man. LOL

August 31st Anja left today

We took Anja to the airport today. The month flew by and I had a fantastic time with her. This is the last picture I got to take of Anja. It is her entering customs. I miss Anja already.

August 30th Anja's on the Roof!

This is Anja's last full day here. It's hard to believe a month has gone by already. Here is Anja on the roof of our house (with David's brother). It is a beautiful view of the farm from up there.

August 29th Tent Caterpillar

These tent caterpillars are found all over the place. They are really ugly and the only way to really destroy them is to cut off the limb of the tree and burn it. Some years they take over most of the trees.

August 27th Oops I mixed up the dates

These geese were flying over and I needed a picture and so here they are.
I should do my blog everyday so mix up of dates doesn't happen. Oh well, life happens.
